Nikolett Pankovits and her collaborators re-imagine the traditions of Hungarian folk music in a contemporary format by bringing together various ensembles from jazz and world music, including a jazz sextet, Hungarian folk trio, a vocal octet and actor Adam Boncz. The concert will build upon the musicological research of composers such as Bela Bartok and Zoltan Kodaly, melding disparate worlds and breaking through everyday stylistic expectations.
